Funds for Wildlife Conservation

• Hunting and shooting sports contribute more dollars to wildlife conservation and restoration than all other outdoor activities combined.
• Taxes on equipment sales under the Pittman-Robertson Act are used by the states and federal government to enhance wildlife habitat, maintain parks and refuges and conduct species population surveys.

Checks and Balances on Overpopulation

• Unbalanced populations can cause destruction of habitat, spread of wildlife illnesses and create threats to human safety. 
• When an ecosystem is unbalanced, natural resources are strained, and the health of all fauna and flora species can suffer.
